Keywords:surface acoustic wave, leaky attenuation, background gass

In oil & gas industry, trace moisture sensors in natural gas are used, but variation of composition of background gases degrades the precision of the sensors. To solve these problems, we developed a gas analysis method using the different frequency dependence of attenuation due to moisture and leaky attenuation. We propose a principle and made an experiment on air, nitrogen, argon and methane backgroung gasses. As a result, variation of background gasses was succcessfully evaluated, independently from moisture variarion. Thus, we confirmed feasibility of the proposed method.
