Doping of Fe and N into carbon nanowalls (CNWs) by hybrid plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition/sputtering hybrid system was carried out. In this method, the amount of Fe and N doping can be independently controlled by sputtering and plasma condition, respectively. Fe-N-CNWs synthesized in this method show the relatively high oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity. In the presentation, we discuss the mechanism of ORR activity from the XPS data before and after ORR measurements.
