Advanced researches were carried out on low dimension with high luminescent material in NIR-II window which does not contain toxic ions. In the present study, we synthesized core-shell Cu@NaGdF4:Yb:Tm nanoparticles in a single-step hot injection method. The nanocomposites growth morphology was compared with NaGdF4:Yb:Tm nanoparticles synthesized by thermal decomposition. Crystallinity, morphology and photoluminescence of synthesized core-shell nanoparticles were analyzed in X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope and upconversion luminescence spectrum. The synthesis of 15 nm core and 48 nm core-shell compounds were confirmed in TEM and the photoluminescence showed the emission in the second near infrared region (NIR II)
