Keywords:optical torque, plasmonics, optical force

Optical torques have been applied to microfluidics, biochemistry, and many other fields. In nano size region, transfer of angular momentum of light is often used to rotate nano particle. However, this method is not able to rotate particle for the axis other than propagation axis. In this presentation, we show novel optical force is generated on "dark" quadrupole mode.
