[19p-B301-20] Complete characterization of optical waveforms via plasma luminescence of gas

Keywords:attosecond, optical waveform characterization, plasma

Complete waveform characterization of optical pulses is an indispensable tool in attosecond science. Until now, extreme ultraviolet spectroscopy, including attosecond streaking, has been employed for optical waveform characterization. Here, we propose and demonstrate a new technique using plasma luminescence of gas. Our techniqhe is based on all-optical measurements in the visible or ultraviolet region, thus it can be performed extremely easily compared to existing techniques.
