We have investigated the behavior of supportive lipid bilayer (SLB) when irradiated to dielectric barrier discharge (DBD).It was confirmed that small pores were formed on SLB by DBD irradiation so far.In this study, DOPC vesicle suspension and buffer solution were irradiated with DBD to measure the concentration of long-lived active species. When the long-lived active species and DOPC react, the buffer solution is expected to have higher concentration. However, the concentration was higher in the suspension than in the buffer solution. This suggests that long-lived reactive species do not contribute to the oxidation reaction of DOPC.
