It has been reported that the SrAlSi4N7:Eu2+ nitride phosphor emits red light under blue light irradiation. In this study, we synthesized a single crystal of CaAlSi4N7:Eu2+ which is isotypic structure of SrAlSi4N7:Eu2+. We report the results of single crystal X-ray structure analysis and fluorescence characteristic evaluation of this new nitride phophor.
