Ligand exchange is very important for fabricating quanutm dot electronic devices. Here, we found that during ligand exchange, not only the type of short ligands, but also the solvent itself is very important. We noted that the choice of solvent for the fabrication of FETs brings unexpectedly crucial effects on the properties of the resultant FETs, irrespective of the types of ligands; for realizing high carrier mobility, solvents with good solvency power to ligands should be used.
