Down-conversion (DC) materials which convert visible light to near-infrared light are a promising tool to enhance the efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells. In this study, the wavelength conversion properties of Tb3+/Yb3+ co-doped ZrO2-SiO2 nano-crystallized glasses were investigated. The highest energy transfer efficiency (ETE) of 79.1% was achieved. Moreover, the DC luminescence mechanism was investigated by the dependency of DC intensity on excitation power. As a result, it was revealed that the DC mechanism was explained by a cooperative energy transfer.
