[20a-P2-3] Polarization Control of Nano-Second Pulses by Laser Beam Sweeping

Yusuke Itai1, Masakatsu Ichikawa1, 〇Mitsunori Saito1 (1.Ryukoku Univ.)

Keywords:Polygon mirror, Polarization, Beam sweeping

When a laser beam was reflected multiple times by a polygon mirror (500 round/s), the sweeping velocity became 190 km/s at a distance of 5 m, and a pulse of 14 ns width was detected at a fixed point. A polarizer array was created by arranging polarization plates of 3 mm width in such a way that the transmission axes of the neighboring plates are orthogonal to one another. When a laser beam was swept through this polarizer array, the polarization direction of the beam changed every 100 ns.
