[20p-B303-7] Noise reduction of electron holograms using dual-tree complex wavelet transform and hidden Markov model

Electron holography is used to observe the nanometerscale electromagnetic field distribution of electronic and magnetic materials. It is necessary to reduce noise in electron hologram with low signaltonoise ratio in order to measure a minute phase change accurately. In this work, we study the denoising method using dual-tree complex wavelet transform and hidden Markov tree model. We report that the proposed method is effective for reducing the phase error using simulation images including curved interference fringes.
