[20p-C202-3] Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy of h-BN grown by the diffusion and precipitation method

Polarized B-K and N-K absoption spectra were measured from h-BN grown on Ni by the diffusion and precipitation method. The results showed that h-BN pi-Ni 3d orbital hybridization is negligibly small in contrast to that there is strong hybridization when h-BN is grown by the thermal decomposition of source gases which is commonly used.
