In the first topic, we report scanning near-field images of the top surface of the ultrahigh-Q Si/Air H1 slotted nanocavity that having experimental Q factor of ~300,000. We focused on the cavity center region in which the center nano-slot was included and we collected clear SNOM images of the cavity center. The feature of SNOM pattern of the nano-slot cavity mode will be discussed. In the second topic, we report tuning of the H1 slotted nanocavity for enhancing Q factor in Si/D2O system for bio-sensing applications theoretically made by using COMSOL. We reveal that Q factor is highly sensitive to the hole size and after the tuning we obtain a high Q factor of 370,000 that may allow sensing of one protein nano-particle (diameter: 15 nm, n: 1.45) placed just at the center of the slot.
