It is known that fibroblasts produce a large amount of collagen and tissues are fibrillated when organs such as heart and kidney fail. Because invasive biopsy techniques, in which a part of an organ is cut out for examination, are the gold standard for the grading of fibrosis, a novel noninvasive technique is required for fibrosis diagnosis. The purpose of this work is to validate the visualization of collagen accumulation in kidney failure using an ASEM (Acoustically stimulated electromagnetic) method. In this talk, we will report the comparison of the control and kidney failure model.
