Keywords:quantum dot, hydrothermal method

Water-soluble CuInS2 (CIS) quantum dots (QDs) were hydrothermally prepared, and the optimal hydrothermal synthetic conditions for CIS QDs were investigated. The photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) of the CIS QDs synthesized under optimal conditions was 4%. CIS/ZnS core/shell QDs were prepared to further increase the PL QY of the CIS QDs. The PL QY was successfully increased to 30%.
