[18p-E205-3] Millijoule class far-infrared femtosecond laser at 10 µm

Keywords:far-infrared, chirp, parametric amplification

By combining dual-chirped optical parametric amplification (DC-OPA) and dual-chirped difference frequency generation (DC-DFG) methods, we have obtained wavelength tunable laser pulses within 3-20 µm. At 10 µm (30 THz), the pulse energy reached mJ class. Such a laser source will be very helpful in high-order harmonics generation, attosecond pulse generation, electron acceleration and absorption spectroscopy
