[18p-N304-3] Various-Parameters-Controlled Ultrashort Pulse Laser Processing of Ceramic Matrix Composites

We report a basic study of laser trepanning of Silicon Carbide (SiC) fiber-reinforced SiC ceramic composites with 1.1-mm-thick. This material is a lightweight heat-resistant composite and one of the promising ceramic matrix composites (CMC). The laser trepanning was performed using a various-parameters-controlled ultrashort pulse laser processing system that can simultaneously program and control the laser, processing system and observation system from a single control system.
