[18p-PB1-66] 2-Dimensional Nano-Arrays on Antiferromagnetically Coupled CoPt Stacked Films

Improvements in magneto-optical (MO) activities due to magneto-photonic crystals and plasmon resonances have been extensively studied. Large MO Faraday and Kerr effects are desirable in practical applications such as information storage systems, telecommunications, and biochemical sensors. We have investigated MO enhancements on perpendicular magnetic nanostructures. In this study, two dimensional nano-arrays of dots and holes were fabricated on perpendicular magnetic CoPt stacked films for magneto-photonic crystals. A pseud magnetic nano-pattern was demonstrated by the magnetic alignment of the antiferromagnetically coupled CoPt layers.
