[19a-C206-4] High-Concentration Methanol Gas Sensing with WO3 Nanoparticle Film under Visible Light at Room Temperature

We developed high concentration sensing technology of methanol gas expected for P2C with safety and low cost. WO3 nanoparticles were coated on a comb-shaped Pt electrode and illuminated with a white LED at room temperature. The resistance decreased by 70% for high concentration methanol gas (17 vol%) and by 9% and 4% for 3.5 and 1.2 vol% methanol, respectively. The response is very small without light.
