[19a-E101-9] Fabrication of CH3NH3PbI3 Thin Films by Bar-coating Method and its NH4Cl Blend Effect

Thin film fabrication of a solar cell candidate material, CH3NH3PbI3, was carried out by using a bar-coating technique, which must be appropriate for large-scale production. In the fabricated films, it is found that a crystal axis was uniformly oriented to the out-of-plane direction. Blending NH4Cl into the coating solution, grain boundaries with voids was eliminated, resulting in the smooth and uniform thin films. It is considered that the NH4Cl blend was effective for the nucleation and crystal growth rate to be suppressed. Utilizing the thin film as an active layer of solar cell, the improvement of solar cell properties was realized.
