Liquid biopsies have attracted increased attentions over the past decade because they allow screening for disease using a simple blood test. This study is included AuNPs dimerization induced by the hybridization of two probe ssDNA molecules and a complementary target DNA molecule. We demonstrated a more quantitative, rapid and low-cost method for target DNA detection by digitally counting scattering intensity of AuNP multimers.
