Keywords:nanocomposite materials, neutron optics, holographic grating

We demonstrate volume holographic recording in a photopolymerizable superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticle-polymer composite film at a recording wavelength of 532 nm. We also show the observation of diffraction of a slow-neutron beam at a wavelength of 4.5 nm from the recorded volume holographic grating for spin splitting and branching of a spin-polarized slow-neutron beam.
