[19a-E216-9] Interface perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in sputter-deposited single crystalline Fe/MgO heterostructures

We succeded in the growth of single crystalline Fe/MgO heterostructures with perpendicular magnetic anistropy by sputtering. Interface PMA energy Ki was deduced to be 1.55mJ/m2, which is large as compared with the interface magnetic anisotropy for polycrystalline Fe/MgO and CoFeB/MgO, suggesting that nearly MBE-quality crystallinity and interface was obtained for Fe/MgO by sputtering.
