[19a-PA1-3] High performance Lead Acid Batteries with durability for over-discharge

Lead acid batteries have strength for over charge and weakness for over discharge. Lead acid battery cannot recharge once over discharge occurred and its performance is greatly declined. We reported that Lead acid batteries with current collector of Au plate can prevent nucleation of α-PbO2 on cathode acrive material during rest period and this type of lead acid battery can be recharged even after over discharge.In this study, we investigated the performance of Au(thin film)/PET current collector to reduce material costs and it showed same charge-discharge characteristics as current collector of Au plate.
