[19a-PA2-20] Increasing the output of Frequency Shift Terahertz wave

In the previous research, distance measurement by a frequency shift THz wave (FS-THz) pumped by a frequency shifted feedback laser (FSF laser) was successfully demonstrated. Distance measurement was succeeded by estimating from beat frequency originated from the phase difference of the FS-THz frequency. However, the beat signal was too weak, because the FS-THz power is weak. Then we amplified the THz wave generated by a uni-traveling carrier photodiode (UTC-PD) using a THz amplifier (THz-Amp.). So we could obtain about 30dB of the THz wave gain. High precision THz distance measurement can be performed by using this amplification method.
