Keywords:PV module, damp heat, finite element method

Generation of acetic acid through water molecule penetration and hydrolysis of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer encapsulant during dump heat test is one of the pathway of photovoltaic module degradation. In this research, dynamics of acetic acid generation and diffusion is studied by finite element method by using a commercial software COMSOL in order to understand acetic acid behavior.
