▲ [19a-PB2-27] Nanoscale Crystal Orientation Mapping Towards Material Informatics for Textured Superconducting Thin Film
Keywords:superconductor, orientation mapping, transmission electron microscopy
Iron-based pnictides are promising candidates for advanced superconducting materials. Here, we studied nanostructure in highly textured NdFeAs(O,F) (called Nd-1111) thin films which were grown on IBAD-MgO/Y2O3/Hastelloy substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Grain boundaries in Nd-1111 thin films influence critical current density, Jc [1,2]. Previous studies using X-ray diffraction (XRD) gave statistical information on misorientation angles between the grains. In the present study, we performed scanning precession electron diffraction (SPED) analysis to obtain nanoscale crystal orientation distribution in the Nd-1111 thin films.
