[19a-PB2-6] Synthesis and superconducting properties of RE-rich RE124 sintered bulks

In this study, in order to clarify the determinants for appearance of superconductivity in RE124 system, we investigated effects of the non-stoichiometric metal compositions on physical properties.
We focused on RE-rich RE124, synthesis of which has not been reported. Therefore, we intentionally added excess-RE to the RE124 precursor and attempted to synthesize RE-rich RE124, where light-RE was selected for the RE elements since RE/Ba substitutions are considered to easily occur. Physical properties such as lattice constants and magnetization of the obtained materials will be reported.
