△ [19p-C207-14] Theoretical basis of artificial neurons by a two-stochastic transition model II
Keywords:superconducting artificial neuron, a two-state stochastic transition model, sigmoid function
In the previous meeting (11a-W810-7), we clarified the theoretical basis of an artificial neuron using a model that is based on the stochastic transition between two states in a double well potential (a two-state stochastic transition model), and then applied the model to circuit neurons using superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs). Here, we extend our classical model to work in the quantum-mechanical domain. It is shown that quantum SQUID regarded as flux qubit can also act as an artificial neuron with sigmoid function generated by coherent quantum-mechanical transitions between wells in double well potential representing rf SQUID.
