We have been developing a high-sensitive X-ray imaging system with ns time-resolution for visualization of thermal propagation inside solid materials. A Si-APD linear array detector having 0.5-ns time-resolution was combined with a phase-contrast X-ray imaging system using X-ray interferometer. X-ray interference patterns were successfully obtained using synchrotron radiation at the Photon Factory with 0.5-ns time-resolution.
