Keywords:holographic memory, single-shot phase detection, inter-pixel crosstalk noise

We recently proposed a novel single-shot phase detection method utilizing inter-pixel crosstalk in holographic memory systems. However, the inter-pixel crosstalk will also act as noise for another signal detection, which is a major cause of signal detection error. Therefore, in this research, we examined the designing the signal pattern for the purpose of noise suppression. By numerical calculation, we confirmed that the proposed signal pattern can effectively suppress the noise and reduce the phase detection error from 0.0045% to 0.0022%, as compared with the conventional pattern.
