[19p-PB1-8] Analysis of cultured cells response for drug injection using quartz crystal microbalance

We have developed a monitoring systems of cultured cells. The system consists of a quartz crystal microbalance and a microscope and is used in a CO2 incubator. Effect of anti-tumor drug to cultured cells was studied with the system. The system provided resonant frequency and resonant resistance data and optical images of cultured cells continuously. The data were analyzed with a cellar response model. The system is advantage to conventional cell evaluation methods using absorbance measurement because the continuous data are useable for kinetic analysis.
