[20a-PB2-55] Molecular orientation control by a solution processed graphene layer and its application for organic solar cells

Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) films were fabricated on substrates by reducing spin-coated graphene oxide (GO) layers, and applied as a template layer for the deposition of organic thin films. The GIWAXD data indicate the face-on orientation of CuPc films evaporated on the rGO layer due to the interaction between large π-conjugated systems of rGO and the organic semiconductor. The face-on orientation is desirable for vertical carrier transport in the film. The organic solar cells using these oriented CuPc films with rGO showed better performance .
