Flexible devices require both flexibility and high durability. However, surface strain caused by deformation induces performance degradation. In order to adapt the strain, highly stretchable conductive materials and/or thin devices has been studied, but there are few cases focusing on design of flexible substrates. In this study, we employed liquid-crystalline polymer films with controlled three-dimensional molecular alignment and evaluated their deformation behavior.
