[20p-E208-11] Chemical tuning of plasmons on gold nanoparticle thin films at a liquid-liquid interface

Atsuko Jimbo1, Kohei Imura1 (1.Waseda Univ.)

Keywords:plasmon, gold nanoparticles

Surface plasmon resonance induced in metallic nanoparticles by light irradiation enhances the optical field. In nanoparticle assemblies, strongly enhanced optical field is generated at the gap regions. Since the plasmon resonance of the assembly is closely related to a gap distance between the particles, optical properties can be controlled by the gap distance. In this study, we demonstrate the chemical tuning of the plasmons in the gold nanoparticle assemblies prepared at a liquid-liquid interface.
