High-index dielectric antennas support Mie resonances, which is capable of loss-less control of the electromagnetic fields at the nanoscale. In this presentation, we report directional emission of monolayer-WS2 with spherical silicon Mie resonator. We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate the suppression of undesired losses due to the radiation of WS2 into the high-index substrates by placing silicon nanospheres on WS2. Engineering interferences between induced electric and magnetic dipoles of the nanosphere and the emitting dipole enables the cancellation of backward radiation and redirection of the emission upward.
