[20p-E208-6] Propagation of SERRS light through one dimensional hotspots of silver nanowire dimers
Keywords:SERRS, plasmonic nanowire
Plasmonic nanoparticle dimer gaps, which distance is below 1 nm, are called hotspots where molecular dipoles and plasmon electromagnetically interact to each other, realizing strong coupling systems. The strong coupling effect modulates molecular resonance energy at hotspots by several hundred meV. Thus, such places are expected novel platform of photochemistry. However, the small volume of hotspots makes such application difficult. In the case of nanowire dimers, the hotspots are expected to be extended to 1000 mm (by 104 times). We demonstrated the propagation of SERRS light through the one-dimensional hotspots with several 1000 nm by excitation of local plasmon at the edge of hotspots.
