Tyrosine is involved in the regulation of cell function by undergoing chemical modification. In this study, we investigated the absorption spectrum of the tyrosine derivatives generated by 2 types of plasma treatment. After humidified He plasma plume exposure, absorption increased in the range of 500 nm. After the air plasma effluent exposure, an absorption peak around 475 nm, deriving from dopachrome, was observed. According to these results, it was suggested that the difference of the composition of reactive species in the liquid phase generated by the plasma treatment cause the difference of the tyrosine derivatives.
