The triple point of mercury which is one of fixed points based on International Temperature Scale of 1990(ITS-90) is indispensable fixed point to realize the temperature scale below 273.16 K. However, the use, transportation and production of mercury has become more and more restricted recently. Therefore, it is hoped to investigate the way to maintain the ITS-90 if the mercury was banned.
One of the resolutions of this problem is replacement mercury to other fixed point. We have been evaluated the realization of the triple point of CO2 for alternative of the mercury. In addition to it, this study shows that the results of realization of the triple point of SF6 and evaluation of its triple point temperature precisely. We also present the result of evaluation of the temperature scale which is realized by using the triple point of SF6 or the triple point of CO2.
