We have developed primary standard for the number concentration of liquid-borne particles to establish metrological traceability of liquid-borne particle number concentration. For the primary determination method, we adopted mass-measurement-type optical particle counting (M-OPC) method. The M-OPC method simultaneously measures particle number by light-scattering-type or light-extinction-type optical particle counters and mass of suspension by electronic balance. We will report particle size dependence of the uncertainty for measurements of number concentration of liquid-borne particles.
