[20p-PA1-4] Cell cycle dependence of phototoxicity by blue laser light
Keywords:blue light, cell cycle, live cell imaging
Extensive exposure to short-wavelength light is known to cause diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinal damage. We use LEDs and semiconductor lasers for live cell imaging as a light source, and conduct quantitative evaluation of the phototoxicity of blue light on live cells. In this study, cells were irradiated with laser light by changing the irradiation wavelength, irradiation energy, and cell cycle, and the phototoxicity was compared based on the cell survival rate.
