▲ [20p-PB4-83] A direct diode pumped continuous wave Ti:sapphire laser seeding a pulsed amplifier for high resolution resonance ionization spectroscopy
キーワード:mass spectrometry, laser ionization, laser
High resolution resonance ionization mass spectrometry is used to infer nuclear properties, such as electric/magnetic moments, spin and charge radii. For this purpose single mode diode lasers or continuous wave Ti:sapphire or dye lasers are usually used. The limited tuning range of diodes and the high expense costs of commercial systems, due to the used Nd:YAG pump laser technology, put constraints on the applicability of the method. In recent years high power multimode-diodes targeted at display and projection applications have reached widespread availability. We demonstrate a direct diode pumped Ti:sapphire system with wide tunability and single-mode operation, with sufficient output power for various spectroscopy applications.
