[21a-E203-4] Study of mode-locked fiber laser for phase locking of multi-core fiber laser with saturable absorber

In order to raise output laser power by spatial beam combining using Multi-core Photonic Crystal Fiber (MCPCF), we are aiming at simultaneous realization of in-phase mode selective excitation and mode locking by using semiconductor saturable absorption mirror (SESAM). Fbry-Perot type cavity is required to perform mode selection by using SESAM, but there are few reports of mode-locked fiber laser in the all normal dispersion region in Fbty-Perot type cavity. Therefore, in this study, we verified mode-locked fiber with using a single core fiber laser as a preliminary step befor applying MCPCF.
