[21a-PA2-29] Fabrication of Li Ion Battery Anode with Si Swarf-Graphite Sheet Composites - Dependence of Cyclability on Binder and Size of Graphite Sheets

We fabricate anodes with composites of Si nanopowder from Si swarf and graphite sheets in Li ion batteries. Cyclability is improved with CLPA binder and large graphite sheets. Expanded graphite with an average size of 200 µm are dispersed in ethanol to obtain graphite sheets of an average size of 17 µm. The delithiation capacity is 591 mAh/g at the 100th cycle.
