[10a-M111-3] Proximity Deformation Effect in Reverse Offset Printing

Keywords:printed electronics

Reverse offset printing is one of the most finest printing methods in printed electronics applications. In this study, the determining factor of pattern integrity in reverse offset printing was investigated. We revealed that surface shear force at each patterning area resulting from the the deformation of a silicone rubber sheet upon a contact with a cliche, led to a distortion of printed patterns. Further analysis suggested that optimization of the rubber thickness and the pattern size of cliches can minimize this proximity deformation effect.
