[10a-PA5-9] Synthesis, Conductivity and Crystal Structure Analysis of Magnesium Vanadates MgxVx-1Oy (x = 3, 4)

Divalent vanadium oxide VO has been known as a nonstoichiometric compound whose oxygen composition varies from unity, and reported in its physical properties and crystal structure. Our laboratory has synthesized Mg-V oxides with Mg/V ratios of 1/2 and 2/1 and studied the physical properties such as resistivity. However, the relationship between the Mg/V ratio and the resistivity has not been clarified. Therefore, in this study, we synthesized samples with different composition ratios of Mg and V in MgxVx-1Oy, examined the optimal composition on conductivity, and analyzed the crystal structure.
