[10a-S423-1] Chemical State Analysis of Mg in MgB₂ Thin Films by Laboratory Soft X-ray XAFS

We made a laboratory soft x-ray XAFS (X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) equipment and evaluated its usefulness in chemical state analysis. MgB₂ thin films were formed by deposition of Mg-B precursor films on Si (111) substrates by two source vapor deposition method followed by postanneal. Chemical states of Mg atoms in the films in the two stages were analyzed by Mg-K XANES (X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure) measurements.
