[10a-S423-8] Photo-responsive proton conductivity of metal nanostructure / proton conductive hybrids

Tomohiro Fukushima1, Kei Murakoshi1 (1.Hokkaido Univ.)

Keywords:proton conductor, metal nanostructure, surface plasmon

Proton conducting materials have been explored based on the structure and composition. However, it is still difficult to achieve responsive conductivity on external stimuli. We will discuss the effect of plasmonic metal nanostructure in proton conducting materials on their structural dynamics and photo-modulated conductivity. NMR spectroscopy revealed that water molecules are phase-separated to the slower and faster dynamics. Interestingly, we investigated that ion conductivity can be modulated through the photo irradiation with metal nanostructures.
