[10p-M111-7] Current status and future development of optical properties of colloidal quantum dots
Keywords:colloidal quantum dot, quantum dot superlattice
Since the first report of quantum size effects in semiconductor doped glasses and also in colloidal solutions in the early 1980s, semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have attracted considerable attention. Randomly dispersed QDs have been major target in most of the studies so far. QD superlattices, in which the QDs are regularly arranged, have the potential to provide new optical properties and functions based on the interactions between adjacent QDs. In the talk, we will outline the synthesis and optical properties of colloidal QDs and introduce recent achievements on fabrication of QD superlattices and their optical properties.
