[10p-S224-1] A new interpretation on the low-temperature Jc(θ) of (RE)BCO thin films with nanorods
Keywords:(RE)BCO thin films, nanorod, the intrinsic pinning
The nanorods introduced into (RE)BCO thin films are c-axis-correlated pinning centers, and at high temperatures such as 77 K large Jc(θ) peaks are observed in magnetic-field angle dependent Jccurves. In contrast, the Jc(q) peaks centered in the c-axis direction become nonprominent at temperatures not more than 30 K and almost disappear at 4.2 K. This phenomenon has so far been attributed to the pinning by small point defects that is effective only at low temperatures. However, this explanation seems inconsistent with recently-found good correlation between in-field Jc at 65 K and that at 4.2 K. In this presentation I will propose a new interpretation that is based on the intrinsic pinning originating from the layered structure of (RE)BCO.
